In 1966, Paul O'Neill founded the Trans Siberian Orchestra. As a prior manager and producer for bands like Aerosmith, Paul O'Neill had much experience in the music business before his brain child was created. The group began as a small ensemble of long-time friends and features "symphonic and progressive sorts of hard rock and metal." The Orchestra began playing live shows in 1999, after they had released their first album outside of the Christmas genre- Beethoven's Last Night, which they are currently touring the country for.

Over the years, the Trans Siberian Orchestra has been mainly focused on a rock style Christmas act. The Trans Siberian Orchestra also features a full light show and pyrotechnics, which takes 15 hours to set up. While performing, the Trans Siberian Orchestra uses a collection of twenty vocalists, four composers and seventeen instrumentalists. While recording in the studio, they use a total of 60 people in the orchestra and a full choir.

The Christmas Eve and Other Stories album was originally debuted in 1996, and continues to be the best-selling album for the Trans Siberian Orchestra. The Christmas Attic album was released two years later which includes their most well-known songs, Christmas Canon. The Lost Christmas Eve and The Christmas Trilogy albums were added later, after touring for a few years, to their repertoire of albums.

If you want to experience a show of a lifetime, the Trans Siberian Orchestra is fun for the whole family. With an extensive performance of Beethoven's Last Night, full of lasers and lights keyed up with the music, a Trans Siberian Orchestra concert is not one to miss.
