B.B. King is a world-known blues guitarist and singer-songwriter from Itta Bena, Mississippi. King has been performing since he was twelve years old when he sang in his local gospel group. After B.B. King left his parents house to work as a tractor driver to make some extra bucks, he arrived in Memphis landed a job at the local R&B radio station as a singer and disc jockey instead.

With the radio station, he met T-Bone Walker and began recording songs under a contract with an LA based record studio shortly after. B.B. King would later become one of the most important names in Rhythm and Blues music, changing people's views forever. Over the past 52 years of being in the music business, B.B. King has played over 15,000 performances. With songs such as "You Know I Love You," Woke Up This Morning," and "Every Day I Have The Blues," B.B. King's impression on music will be a long-lasting one.

B.B. King has tried to give back to the community as much as they have given to him. In 2001, B.B. King became the official sponsor of a non-profit, known as Little Kids Rock, which provides free instruments and music instructions for children in underprivileged schools in the United States.

At the ripe old age of 84, B.B. King has so much more live to life. King loves to express himself through his guitar and singing performances. As Rolling Stone magazine's No. 3 ranked "100 greatest guitarists of all time," you won't want to miss out on seeing B.B. King live at the Historic State Theatre.  Buy your B.B. King tickets today!
