Steve Martin is a well-known actor, writer, producer, musician, playwright, comedian and composer. Martin started his entertainment career early while working at Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm where he worked as a comedian and magician. Steve Martin went on to attend Santa Ana Junior College where he took drama and English poetry, and regularly participated in performing acts at the Bird Cage Theater.

Martin's career really took off after becoming a frequent guest for the Tonight Show and a writer for the Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour, which won him an Emmy Award in 1969. After branching away from the comedy routines in the 1980's, Steve Martin focused on his film and television career. Steve Martin has made his mark on the film industry and has been ranked 4th on the box office star list in recent years. Martin has written, directed and starred in an endless amount of movies, including It's Complicated, Cheaper By The Dozen, Waiting for Godot and Father of the Bride.

With his performances over the years, Steve Martin has earned numerous Emmy, Grammy and American Comedy Awards. Steve Martin's stand-up comedy tends to be self-mocking and ironic, mixing his knack for philosophy and banjo skill into one fantastic show.

As the most frequent Saturday Night Live guest-host, with fifteen appearances, Steve Martin is an absolutely hilarious performer to watch. Steve Martin is coming to the Historic State Theatre in the middle of June and is not an act you will want to miss out on.
