About Hennepin Theatre Trust

In the early 1920's, the Hennepin Theatre Trust non-profit organization set out to renovate a few surrounding theatres in order to expand the entertainment and educational opportunities in Minneapolis. The Hennepin Theatre Trust currently has renovated the State, Orpheum and Pantages Theatres, bringing with them a sense of history and modern performances. These three theatres are thought of as the finest venues in the Midwest and are unique to the Twin Cities with their beautiful architecture.

            Hennepin Avenue was originally "Theatre Row" with over thirty show houses lining its street. With only four venues left, the Hennepin Theatre Trust in continuing to preserve and improve these historic landmarks that hold over a century's worth of stories. The Hennepin Theatre Trust's committee wants to ensure that the generations to come will have the opportunity to enjoy these venues as well.

            To interest the surrounding community, the Hennepin Theatre Trust constantly recruits the hottest performers such as Broadway shows and unforgettable concerts.
